I am a woman. I am also an artist and documentarian. This is my life. Welcome all. Do you relate to parts of me? How do you differ? What emotions does this emit for you? Will this make me happy or, perhaps, sorry? Let’s start a conversation.

When visitors walk in they will encounter a wall. On it will be a black and white photograph of my clothed chest, clearly showing my now lopsided breasts. On this image will be the title of the show, I am Woman, See Me... Underneath the photo will be my ceramic, hand-built “Offering Gals.” Roughly 3-4 inches tall; they will be welcoming. Like a vase holding a flower, they offer a gift of understanding all our range of hurts, of compassion, and of peace in time. On the other side of the wall will be two shelves with “Chemo Jars.” One of glass female faces and the other of ceramic female forms, both containing items that got me through my cancer treatment. The rest of the exhibit will be in sections.

A sculpture of sorts. Featuring stacked items that I have made through the years: mosaic tables, woven-seat chair, painted bench. Peppered with hand made lamps. My mobiles (origami rabbits, witches, ping pong fish) will hang from the ceiling.

Perimeter of Exhibit
Sample journal page, my birthday as well as my 2015 cancer diagnosis. Will have pages of interest from my journal enlarged (5 feet in height) and hanging around the full perimeter of exhibit. Items of interest would be highlighted in yellow. Text referencing private events of my children or others would be redacted.
